Arijita Subuddhi, PhD
Arijita Subuddhi is the Staff Scientist for the Basic and Translational Science Core for the TRAC. She is a cell biologist with experience in Immunology, Epigenetics, and Biochemistry. She received her Ph.D. in TB research at Bose Institute, University of Calcutta, India. She worked on the host epigenetics modifications and mitophagy during the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis infection. She conducted postdoctoral research at the Case Western Reserve University on Stem cell Epigenetics in the Biochemistry Department (2021) and at Houston Methodist Research Institute on chronic transplant rejection in the Transplant Immunology Department (2022). She joined Emory University Vaccine Center on October 2022 as a Staff Scientist in the Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (TRAC). She is currently working on the effect of HIV exposure and infection on immunity to TB in children.
