Emory/Georgia TRAC Dataverse
Emory/Georgia TRAC investigators have conducted clinical and translational research on diverse cohorts of persons with or at risk for TB in Ethiopia, country of Georgia, Kenya, Philippines, South Africa, Uganda, and Dekalb and Fulton Counties in the state of Georgia. These cohorts include robust epidemiologic, sociodemographic, clinical, and mycobacterial genomic data, in addition to archived biospecimens. The goal of the Emory/Georgia TRAC Dataverse is to support TB researchers in conducting secondary analyses from existing data and specimens or generating preliminary data for pursuing new lines of scientific inquiry.
Dataverse is an established, open-source web application to “share, preserve, cite, and analyze research data.” It is used by several institutions and universities worldwide. The Emory/Georgia TRAC Dataverse includes information on over 50 completed studies by Emory/Georgia TRAC investigators, some of which have datasets that are available publicly available while others are available on request. In addition, the Emory/Georgia TRAC Dataverseprovides links to U.S. national and international (e.g., World Health Organization) TB datasets that are publicly available.
Investigators interested in accessing research data in the Emory/Georgia TRAC Dataverse can explore contents using keyword searches. Datasets which have appropriate permissions in place for public access will be directly downloadable by any investigator. For datasets that require permission for access, users will be prompted with a pop-up box to complete a brief request form, at which point they will have to sign in through Dataverse.
